Well Travelled Hat

A straw hat from the late 50's to early 60's embellished with destination patches from all over Europe. This hat has storys from Monaco, Eifel, San Remo, Geneve, Belgique, Namur, Deutschland, St Tropez, and Calais. From a time when these resorts had style and glamor attached to them.It smells of Martini, Lemon presse and adventure.

Ritual Spoon

A fantastic tea spoon. The bowl is attached to a classical style rod with a Rams head mounted on it, then the rod moves up towards a handle wrapped in a writhing snake and finished with a green man emblem. No makers name or mark. I like to think it has been used in the ritualistic spooning of heavens nectar into unsuspecting blindfolded nihilists.

Slug Death tin

" in the Malay States ten buckets full of giant snails have been caught with less than two 2nd size tins of this powder"

"6,572 slugs have been caught with one 3rd size tin"

"20,546 slugs have been caught with three 3rd size tins"

One user says Corry's Slug Death is worth more than a guinea a box

"Britannia Rules Our Ways"

poor slugs didn't stand a chance.
A Great Dorset Steam Fair find, I couldn't leave it behind.

"Gator" board

This is my equivalent of an auto enthusiasts barn find.Three 80's skate decks in a skip around the corner from my house. Yes they battered but in England these things don't turn up that often. The one pictured is the second Mark "Gator" Rogowski Vision board. Also in the haul a Lance mountain and a Godoy brothers.Gator became one of the top skateboard stars of the eighties he then came crashing down and turned to religion and alcohol before finally killing his girlfriend and burying her in the desert. He is now serving life in jail.

Terrorist Doll

From the streets of Mexico comes this freedom fighter doll. Hand made from scraps and rags.I like to think it is a representation of Com andante Marcos the legendary pipe smoking and poetry reciting leader of the indigenous peoples of Mexico imbued with his spirit and strength of character.

Mud Machine, M zone

Mud Machine hooded sweatshirt from the notorious croydon and later Carnarby street B.M.X and skateboard shop. If you where into Skateboards and B.M.X in the 80's then you knew all about M Zone and its Neon anarchic ads in BMX Action bike and R.A.D.As well as a great selection of Skate decks and hardwear it also imported a multitude of super Rad and super bright surfgear from the U.S by the likes of Life's a Beach, T&C, Gotcha,Catchit and the original Stussy stuff as well as all the skate Tee's you could wish for.Croydon had a great bike and Skate scene and this shop was the place to meet up and hang out, from a time when individuality on the high street bred different scenes and trends in every town instead of the same copycat clones. The fantastic logo was drawn by Simon Claire who then went onto work for Disney and it still looks wicked 25 years later.
